EPIC - Everyone Plays In our Community

We are proud to offer a very special program for children and adults with physical and/or intellectual disabilities. Our EPIC (Everyone Plays In our Community) program provides a safe, fun environment with trained coaches and volunteers who facilitate an enriching experience for players and their families.

Buddies from our EXTRA program and community volunteers assist during the games. Players learn soccer while meeting new friends, having fun, increasing skills and self-esteem. Players and their families, along with the volunteers, enjoy the complete AYSO experience – team uniforms, making friends, scoring goals, cheering from the sidelines, and more.

Mission

The mission of the AYSO EPIC program is to provide a quality soccer experience for individuals whose disabilities (physical or intellectual) make it difficult for them to successfully participate on a mainstream soccer team.

Vision

The vision of the AYSO EPIC Program is to create EPIC teams in every AYSO Region wherever possible and to maximize opportunities for EPIC player participation where EPIC teams are not available.

Goal

Through participation in EPIC, our goal for every player is to:

Have fun playing soccer
Understand the fundamentals of the game
Learn teamwork and fair play
Increase positive self-esteem
Become more physically fit at their level
Meet and be comfortable with new people

We recognize that individuals with disabilities need to feel a sense of belonging and acceptance. The EPIC program offers that acceptance and carries our philosophy of Everyone Plays® to new heights - giving everyone a chance to play.
