Join our monthly Volunteer Board Meeting. We're not scary-- we promise!
The term "Board Meeting" conjures a lot of different imagery to different people. It's not fancy or formal. Our "volunteer board" is just a bunch of parents like you sitting around, deciding when to hold the next Coach Training or pitching ideas to make things run better. (Hint: we'd LOVE to have a snack bar -- we just need someone to step up and coordinate it.)
Want to see what happens behind the scenes to make Region 114 such a great region? Join us the second Tuesday of every month at 7:15pm at Denny's across from Long Beach Town Center. Get a free meal and get involved!
Get involved! Volunteer Board Member Opportunities
Volunteers are the engine that make this region work. Without volunteers, there are no coaches to coach, no referees to ref games. Fields don't get lined. Info booths don't get staffed. New players don't get registered. Teams don't get formed.
New to soccer? No problem. There are dozens of board members behind the scenes donating their time to keep the region running regardless of previous soccer experience. Look at the region/board positions that need to be staffed every year, just waiting for your particular set of skills, expertise, and passion for the community!
To get more information about volunteering in AYSO Region 114, talk to you Region Commissioner, or any of the Board Members. They will be more than happy to help you find the right volunteer position for you.
Did we mention the board meeting?
Yeah, we did. Just double-checking you weren't skimming this page. Honestly, if you're even reading this far down on the Board Member page, it means you're curious, right? You owe it to yourself. Come check out our Volunteer Board meeting. We have a good time.
