U5-U8 Friendship Cup 2024

Saturday, November 16th, 2024

About the Friendship Cup

At the U5-U8 level, the Friendship Cup is a "friendly" round-robin tournament (friendly means no scores or win/losses)... and more importantly a free PIZZA PARTY for all participating teams! Many teams use this opportunity to turn the pizza party into their end-of-the-year party.

Because scores and standings are not kept at U8 and below, the focus of the U5-U8 Commissioner's Cup is celebrating the end of the season and players' growth, rather than determining a "winner." All teams must attain the required volunteer point threshold to be eligible to participate.

Once all teams have accepted their invitations, and we know the final number of teams, a schedule will be created. Expect this schedule to be finalized the week of the Friendship Cup.

Requirements to reach Friendship Cup

U5-U8 teams must reach their volunteer point threshold, and be in good standing with the region. Points can be accrued up until the final week of the U5-U8 Season. (Note: Volunteer points accrued after the final week of the U5-U8 regular season do not count towards the Friendship Cup.)

U5-U8 teams must have at least ONE certified adult referee who has covered U10 or higher matches.

Tournament style action isn't just for the "big kids" -- our U5 - U8 Division has its own tournament day! Congrats to all the teams who gave back to the region by volunteering and proudly earned their kids a chance to experience their first tournament, complete with a pizza party, photo banner, and medals for all participants!
